Excerpt from Kirkus Reviews regarding The Bootlegger's Legacy: Although the mystery elements in this novel are certainly engaging enough to keep readers turning pages, it's Clifton's superb character development that makes this story a transformative journey of self-discovery. A tale with an authentic, immersive setting, inhabited by well-developed, endearing characters.
The Bootlegger's Legacy is Ted's second book. From his first writing experience Ted said, "I came away with some bruises". After that experience he took many years of studying and practicing until he wrote again--this time with better knowledge and more confidence. "This is the book I should have written as my first book. It explores many of the places I have lived and has some very interesting characters".
Ted currently has two mystery series in publication and a new one in the works. Pacheco & Chino Mystery features Dog Gone Lies and Sky High Stakes. Another series written with co-author Stanley Nelson is the Muckraker Series. Titles published to date are Murder So Wrong and Murder So Strange. A new series Vincent Malone Mysteries will debut in June 2018 with Santa Fe Mojo.
